Critical Art
The freedom of art
Art is free and is guaranteed by the Constitution, but is art allowed to do everything?
There have always been discussions about the limits and freedoms of art.
Especially in times of great political upheaval, we see it as our duty, to take a socially critical stance in addition to creating aesthetically artistic works.
On this page you will find works that are certainly not intended to make rooms more attractive,
rather they criticize socio-political systems and actions, point out grievances and are intended to shake things up.
Photomontage artist John Heartfield said one thing:
"The montages are not made to be hung in an exhibition. Their purpose is to have an effect on the masses. The place where they belong is in the brains of the masses."
